Wednesday Word from the Mount
Good day ladies and gentlemen, I bring you greetings and salutations from the mount;
I want to press upon our hearts the importance of our faith. I've noticed that in the secular realm it seems as though those who have no denominational affiliations display more faith than those who have professed their allegiance to Christ. Oops, what are you saying?
Brothers and sisters, our faith must stand up and be announced to the world, not just in the sacred walls of the church, but within the circumference of the world. What do people see within you when they meet you along the way? Do you profess hope to them in their time of need or are you just getting by for the time hoping no one uncovers your faithlessness? I submit to each of you that faith is the desired tool that someone wants to borrow and use to help them along the way. Therefore, we must carry it everyday as it will adjust to our situational periods. So since faith is our tool, why not keep it sharpened with the stone of God's word. Romans 10:17 says, "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." KJV.
I challenge you, my reading audience, to put your faith to the test and then watch God work. Remember faith and doubt cannot occupy the same space; one will cancel out the other. Faith is required in prayer. It takes faith to give; faith to heal; andfaith to receive. So the next time you are faced with an overwhelming problem, use your faith that stands on the premise andpromises of God's word.
Until next time, be blessed and remember: What will you do when life slaps you and then laughs? Where is your faith?"
Yours in Christ,
Rev Dr. Tony C. Person
