You may only be someone in the world, but to someone else, you may be the world.

A Wednesday Word from the Mount

Good day brothers and sisters,

I bring you greetings from the Lord our God, who through his infinite wisdom and eternal will, has allowed us the privilege to celebrate his presence within the realm of worship.

I want to remind us today regarding our position in Christ; it is a place that is constantly being interrogated by the world as they are witness to our affirmation of faith.  The query that we must ask ourselves is based upon the premise of our aptitude which determines our individual attitude.  Hebrews 13:2 alludes to this, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares”, which suggests that what we say or do can injure, wound and disfigure a potential candidate for Christ.

The real question is what does the world really envision when they see you?  It’s not our titles, tags and labels that transform lives, but it’s what is stamped on the inside of us that will address our obedience to Christ and our message to the world.

As I close, be mindful of your position in Christ because your life is on display.

In Christ I remain,

Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
