You may only be someone in the world, but to someone else, you may be the world.

Wednesday Word from the Mount

Good day brothers and sisters, I bring you greetings from the Mount;

It is again a privilege to greet you in the name of Christ. I would like each of you for a moment to cease what you are doing and find a mirror and look into it cautiously and carefully.  Then ask yourself, “What do I see?”  The truth of the matter is that you will see some things that you don’t like about yourself. In fact, because of the reflection of the image, you’ve decided to change.

Likewise, if we would look into the mirror of God’s word, we would discover that we have flaws and failures that come with the garment of flesh and therefore, require the presence of God. The reality is that what’s on the inside will show up on the outside.

Brothers and sisters, you cannot fool the mirror of God’s word for it reflects the image that it sees. Therefore, what do people envision when they see you beyond the sacred walls of the church?  I am talking about when the church vacates the building; when it’s no longer your worship, but your service. Do they see Christ? Or do they see you as a spiritual defector of the faith?

Until next time remember that we are constantly being watched. Proverbs 15:3 says, “The eyes of The Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. KJV

In Christ,

Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
